Commissioning Technician

As a Commissioning Engineer, you play a central role in the commissioning of complex electrical systems. You coordinate interdisciplinary processes, conduct tests, and ensure that systems are handed over to the client safely, in compliance with standards, and ready for operation.
Through your technical expertise and organizational talent, you ensure that projects are successfully completed.
Your role in the project
You are responsible for all commissioning activities within a project and coordinate all involved disciplines. As the person responsible for the systemand authorized switching personnel,you bear a high level of responsibility for the safety of personnel, systems, and equipment. At the same time, you ensure that all tests, measurements, and commissioning processes are carried out competently.
Here's what you'll be doing with us
- Responsibility for all commissioning activities in the project
- Interdisciplinary coordination of all commissioning processes
- Development of commissioning, task, and schedule plans
- Progress monitoring and reporting
- Document and information management
- Creation of checklists, templates, and work instructions
- Contractual correspondence
- Quality assurance during commissioning and project completion
- Conducting tests and measurements on medium, low, and extra-low voltage installations
- Planning and execution of switching operations
- Responsibility for Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures (LOTO)
- Performing medium-voltage tests
- Review and approval of test and commissioning protocols
- Maintenance of switching logs
- Setting and checking of protective devices
What you bring to the table
- Completed higher education in electrical engineering (Master Craftsman, Technician, or university degree)
- At least 5 years of experience in commissioning electrical systems
- Experience with measurements and tests of electrical systems
- Switching authorization or qualification for medium-voltage systems
- Experience on large construction sites is a plus
- Teamwork skills, personal responsibility, and loyalty
- Willingness to travel
- Class B driving license
- Excellent German and English language skills
- Additional qualifications (e.g., VEFK, protective device testing, cable fault location) are a plus
